Streambox Avenir and Streambox Signal Extender are used to Stream Live Video from Demonstrations in Cairo’s Tahrir Square

CNN streamed live commentary and demonstration coverage from the protesting crowds at Tahrir Square during the July 2013 Egyptian Protests using Streambox Avenir and Streambox Signal Extender over six 3G connections. Despite heavy congestion of the networks, the Avenir with Signal Extender was able to send the live video using Streambox exclusive Low Delay Multi Path (LDMP) technology. LDMP is a unique networking technology that allows the video to stream over every available network path while the Signal Extender boosts signal strength. CNN successfully streamed from Cairo, Egypt using Single Field SD at 800Kbps and approximately 4 seconds of latency. Watch the video here:
