CBC Uses Streambox to Broadcast a Kidnapped Reporters Return Home

Read the latest issue of Sat Magazine to learn how CBC used Streambox to broadcast a reporters return from kidnapping in Somalia. Canadian freelance reporter Amanda Lindhout was reporting on the conflict in Somalia when she was taken captive by gunmen in August of 2008. Over one year later, in November of 2009, she was finally set to be released. CBC was on scene with a Streambox ACT-L3 Portable Video Transport Solution and sent the video over a BGAN satellite connection provided by Inmarsat.
