Streambox® Inc. today announced it will provide free Streambox Live™ service to any broadcaster for coverage of The Gumpathon, a 3,530-mile relay to raise money for organizations that help severely wounded soldiers recover. The run kicked off on Sept. 10 in Manhattan and will conclude on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, in Santa Monica, Calif.

Streambox today announced that it has integrated the Streambox® ACT-L3™ Software Encoder with AJA’s Io Express portable audio and video I/O interface. The integration provides a low-cost yet comprehensive field newsgathering solution that enables news crews to capture and edit SDI HD and SD video via the Io Express, and then encode and stream the video files over low-bandwidth networks via the Streambox Software Encoder.
