Gen. James F. Amos and Sgt. Maj. Carlton Kent visit Marines and Sailors with Regimental Combat Team 2 on Dec. 25, 2010. DVIDS captured the event using a Streambox Software Encoder on a Macbook Pro. The stream was sent live over a Norsat Satellite Connection at 2.5 Mbps and was received at DVIDS headquarters in Atlanta, GA on a Streambox 9300 Decoder. With Streambox technology in place, DVIDS is able to conduct interviews over the satellite connection utilizing the Streambox IFB Server.

Audio plays out from the iPhone’s built in speaker or headphone jack while the app is streaming live video back to the Streambox Live Server for playout.
