Streambox Enterprise Server™ — Complete End-to-End Broadcasting Solution
Debuting at NAB 2011, Streambox Enterprise Server is designed for broadcasters to capture content at a lower cost by providing an acquisition platform that can be used to manage and play out live and file-based video sent from the field. Enterprise Server is a complete package consisting of the Distribution Server, Store and Forward Server, and Interrupted Feedback Broadcast (IFB), that all work together to provide an end-to-end solution. Broadcasters will have the ability to utilize Streambox acquisition platform products in their workflow for client encoding software devices, management servers, and multiple playout options. Highly secure video is sent from the field using a Streambox Encoder to the station’s Enterprise Server where it is routed live on-air or to other playout platforms. Video can also be sent from the studio to the field or other affiliates for confidence monitoring of on-air broadcast. The server automatically archives all video streams to be available for download at a later time, enabling broadcasters with the flexibility to choose which video streams they prefer to air live and which streams they decide to edit for later use.

Complete End-to-End Solution for HD/SD File-Based Acquisition
With the addition of HD support to the Streambox® Store and Forward Server and Media Station, broadcasters now have a complete solution for end-to-end acquisition of both HD and SD file-based video. The Streambox Store and Forward Client, Store and Forward Server, and Media Station work together to provide greater control and management of field-generated video as it is edited and uploaded to the broadcast studio for multiformat playout. Control room operators are better able to manage hundreds of video files as these are uploaded to the Store and Forward Server by field reporters or citizen reporters for on-demand or scheduled playout via an easy-to-use Web interface. Reporters can save raw ACT-L3™ files directly from the Streambox encoder software or export a file from the NLE using the Streambox ACT-L3 codec for QuickTime®. Using the Store and Forward Client’s Web interface, they can then upload the video file to the Store and Forward Server for transcoding to multiple formats. The file can then be ingested directly to a playout system or played out directly from the Streambox Media Station.
