TV Technology highlights WLS TV’s use of Streambox during severe winter conditions in the Chicago area. WLS reporters use Streambox equipment to broadcast their commute live on air throughout the day. They are also able to send high quality video from around the city using Streambox and 3G/4G cellular modems. Extreme winter storms is a perfect example of how broadcasters can take advantage of Streambox and low bandwidth data networks to bring viewers video when satellite trucks cannot.
