Streambox Live – Video over IP Contribution Service Offers New Professional Version with Unlimited Bandwidth: Streambox Live Pro

Today, Streambox unveiled Streambox Live Pro, the new enhanced version of the innovative IP-based video contribution Streambox Live Service. Streambox Live Pro enables remote reporters and citizen journalists to upload compressed live video streams to broadcast studios through Internet-based Streambox Live Data Centers located at multiple points around the world. Streambox Live Pro’s uncapped bandwidth, Advanced Audio Encoding (AAC), and Full D1 resolution will take advantage of emerging 4G cellular networks, which will allow more video content to be transported, and at a higher quality. In addition to Streambox Live Pro, the original version of Streambox Live will be available with added IFB communication, an increased bit rate up to 750 kilobytes per second (kbps) and higher resolution capabilities up to ½ D1; offering users two different robust video service options to choose from. Both Streambox Live and Streambox Live Pro are compatible with the entire Streambox Platform of professional quality HD/SD video products to enhance breaking news coverage for scalable low cost video contribution.

Streambox Announces Enterprise Server For Complete Video Acquisition Management

Streambox, Inc. today announced the demonstration of the Streambox Enterprise Server at NAB 2011; the new centralized server is an all-in-one software-based product that allows broadcasters and other video-centric organizations to manage the acquisition of video content, even when substantial amounts of video are being contributed. The Enterprise Server has multi-functioning capabilities; and is a part of the complete Streambox platform used to acquire, manage, and play out live and file-based video sent from the field. The Enterprise Server allows users to securely shorten and streamline workflows for both live and file-based acquisition by obtaining large amounts of video content from multiple reporters in the field simultaneously, and immediately archiving or routing the content to be played live on air.
