Streambox today announced that it has integrated the Streambox® ACT-L3™ Software Encoder with AJA’s Io Express portable audio and video I/O interface. The integration provides a low-cost yet comprehensive field newsgathering solution that enables news crews to capture and edit SDI HD and SD video via the Io Express, and then encode and stream the video files over low-bandwidth networks via the Streambox Software Encoder.
Streambox® and Fisher Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: FSCI) today announced a strategic partnership to further develop solutions that will enable Fisher and other broadcasters to expand video contribution and Web streaming initiatives for all distribution platforms. Designed for field newsgathering, sports broadcasting, streaming, and other mobile live and file-based video applications, the battery-operated Avenir enables field reporters to send live or file-based video content over bonded 3G and 4G wireless networks as well as the Internet.
Streambox today announced a hybrid HD-SD version of the award-winning Streambox® ACT-L3™ Software Encoder, the first of its kind to provide high-quality HD video streaming over low data rate IP connections. Initially available for Apple® Mac OS® X platforms, the solution enables broadcasters, government agencies, and enterprises to transmit live or stored 720p/1080i, as well as SD video, with powerful new capabilities, such as cellular 3G/4G bonding, that maximize network bandwidth for the highest possible HD video quality.
At the 2010 NAB Show, Streambox will demonstrate a new version of its Streambox® Live™ broadband video contribution service that enables iPhone® users to upload high-quality video using the AT&T 3G network.
