Fox News Channel Deploys Streambox

SEATTLE — June 21, 2007 — Streambox, Inc. today announced that Fox News Channel has selected the company’s newsgathering solutions for facilitating high-quality real-time broadcasts from field reporters to the network’s headquarters in New York City. Fox News Channel is deploying portable encoders as well as rack-mount video transport systems for delivery of live video from the world’s hotspots via satellite and T1 networks.
With this new deployment, Fox News Channel crews can capture and deliver live video reports from the field with nothing more than a camera, a Streambox portable encoder, and a satellite or other IP network connection. The equipment will also be utilized for high quality Store and Forward video feeds.
