June 20, 2003 Seattle, WA. Streambox Inc. announced today an exclusive license for ACT-L2 Codec QuickTime version to Toyo Engineering Corporation and Taiyo Kikaku Inc for Internet distribution of high quality high resolution low bitrate videos to broadband connected PCs in Japan.

SLEM2 (Streaming Live Educational Marketing Method) is a partnership between Taiyo Kikaku Inc. and Toyo Engineering Corporation that offers Japanese corporations services to produce, encode, store and deliver high resolution full frame full motion videos encoded in ACT-L2 Codec at 500-700 Kbps.
