Solution Overview
The Streambox® Store and Forward Server provides scalable support and management for hundreds of video clip uploads from a variety of users, either via the Streambox® Store and Forward Client or via HTTP uploads. The Server accepts field-generated video clip uploads in a variety of file formats and it provides automatic or on-demand transcoding of those clips depending on operator requirements.
An easy-to-use web interface enables the control room operator to monitor active connections and video uploads in real-time. Video clip thumbnails and metadata |

provide additional information about individual video clips. This helps the operator gain greater control and visibility into the status of video uploads. Metadata and date/time stamps also enable the operator to search video clip uploads.
The Store and Forward Server facilitates improved management, monitoring and prioritization of field-edited files as they are uploaded to the Server from contributors such as field reporters, digital journalists, stringers, citizen reporters, or remote bureaus. The Store and Forward Server can also be integrated with existing broadcast equipment such as third party video servers, editing stations, and storage solutions. |
