An example of this is the ongoing effort to enhance container security, where maritime ports are heightening security to reduce the threat of terrorism and prevent the theft and tampering of goods.

IP-centric video technology provided by Streambox enables ports to stream high- quality live and file-based video from a variety of strategically located cameras in port areas to security operation centers over IP unicast or multicast networks. The video is then played out on a desktop computer allowing laptop clients at several locations to view and analyze the video.
