In keeping with its commitment to enhance the value of the ACT-L3™ Video Transport system through continual software developments and upgrades, Streambox released a new version of the Transport Application software that provides additional functionality to all existing systems.

The new features and improvements in this version are:

• Improved support for higher bitrates, up to 8-9 Mbps
• Improved support for ultra-low bitrates modes, down to 64 Kbps
• "Prefer quality over frame-rate" mode, ideal for news gathering at low bitrates
• Low bandwidth AAC audio
• Smoother, error-free decoding, including low latency modes
• Improved packet-rate shaping for reduced packet loss over IP networks
• Latency refinements that bring end-to-end delay down to <400ms
• Improvements to our advanced FEC, incorporating both parity and Reed-Solomon algorithms
• Improved user interface for easier navigation
• The ability to save and load presets
