Solutions for Media Streaming
Streambox Chroma encoder/decoders offer the industries most complete range of capabilities, with support for everything from SD to 4K DCI, HDR and Dolby Vision® & Atmos®, and up to 16 channels of audio.
Our systems support all major color gamut standards, so you get to see Rec 709, for example, instead of a web browser / computer monitor (mis)interpretation.
Streambox LDMP protocol allows for low latency adaptive bit-rate streaming over public and private networks, ensuring optimal transmission across sub-optimal networks.
Our ACT-L3 and ACT-L5 advanced codecs are highly efficient, which helps us achieve some of the lowest latencies in the industry.
We employ 128-bit AES encryption to protect your content and offer a higher level 256-bit version for certain areas of the world. Both are approved by the National Security Agency (NSA)!
Unique to Streambox is the specialized low delay multi-path protocol (LDMP) for reliable video playout over unreliable IP networks. The encoder continuously adjusts for optimized transport performance on WiFi, 3G, 4G, and wired public IP networks. Support for network bonding means transport has additional reliability and redundancy. LDMP provides intelligent utilization of available network paths to achieve higher rates of transport and playback, with 500 ms to 2 second end-to-end latency over public networks at significantly lower bandwidth than other systems. Other advanced networking features include UDP unicast, broadcast, or multicast, adjustable Forward Error Correction, and correction embedded metadata. Master quality video and streaming bit rates of up to 120 Mbps enables the delivery of even cinematic quality video contribution.
